Pumpkin picking and petrifying parties - there’s no denying Halloween is the spookiest time of the year. If there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s that vaping definitely isn’t the scary ghost that many people make it out to be.The internet has spread some very questionable rumours about vaping over the last few years and we’re here to bust some of those myths. Much like a frightening trick or treater, you’ll realise that when you lift the mask there’s nothing to be afraid of.
“Smoking isn’t as addictive as vaping”
At T-Juice, one of our proudest achievements is helping people ditch smoking for good and move away from the horrific health problems caused by cigarettes. While some vapes do contain nicotine, many don’t. With vaping you’re able to moderate your nicotine intake, which is a great way for ex-smokers to gradually wean themselves off any dependency.
“Passive vaping is worse than passive smoking”
It’s well known that second-hand cigarette smoke is incredibly dangerous. According to the NHS, a shocking
9,500 children were admitted to hospital last year due to the effects of passive smoking. However,
Public Health England has found that there is no evidence of harm to bystanders from exposure to second-hand vapour. If you’re in a family house, vaping is a safer, healthier and a more responsible alternative.
“Vaping costs more than smoking”
We’re happy to say that one of the massive bonuses of quitting smoking is the big bulge in your wallet. We recently did some calculations about
how much a smoker could save annually if they made the jump into vaping. Ready for it? The savings for a pack a day smoker were £3,144.37! Whether that’s a holiday in Barbados or an investment in a business, you definitely can’t turn your nose up to that kind of money.
“All e-liquids contain nicotine”
While many of our e-liquids do contain nicotine, we make sure to leave the decision up to you. Lots of ex-smokers use vaping to gradually get off nicotine dependency by lowering the strengths of their e-liquids or mixing their own vape juices. Also, a large number of vapers prefer their e-liquids without any nicotine at all.
“Vaping causes more harm than cigarettes”
We’re happy to say that this is complete nonsense - the NHS itself states that
vaping is 95% less harmful than smoking. Whether it’s carbon monoxide or tar, the toxic chemicals in smoking that cause a staggering amount of health problems in the UK aren’t part of vaping. Every one of our e-liquids has been screened and tested at the highest level to give you the safest experience possible.
In a time when it’s so easy to be spooked, we hope us debunking these myths gave you some peace of mind. Vaping is one of the most important weapons we have in the fight to end smoking and getting the facts right is crucial. If you see any one spreading these myths, send them this blog and set the record straight!"
